(3rd August) I worked as a volunteer during UQ Open Day. I led tours of prospective students and their families around King’s College from 8am-10am. I showed them the key facilities, highlighted the college’s culture and answered questions about college life.

I attended a Blue Bus Leadership workshop, where we learned about the ways different companies are managed using the metaphor of a blue, red, and green bus. We also talked about being an upstander instead of a bystander (taking action rather than simply observing) and rewiring the software of a company or a person in order to change the hardware.
