Eight local species experts and nine Jabalbina rangers joined QTFN for a two-day biodiversity survey of Lot 83 on Eastern Kuku Yalanji Country on May 1-2, 2025. Through on-ground surveys, acoustic recorders, and camera traps, we recorded at least 529 new species records for the property. A highlight was 14 tree kangaroos found through thermal drone surveys, including two mums with young at foot. There were many geographically-restricted, undescribed, and already one new invertebrate species found.
